Yes I have experienced this as well. I think it fails to get a internet connection some times. I would go to messaging and either send a email or text message, or tap the send/recieve option in the Tools/Options option window and see if the device will connect to the internet that way. If it's successful try accessing IE again. it should work now. I can't explain this, but some times PIE acts retarded as if it has never connected the internet before, and what I just describes has helped me in the past. Good Luck.

this is frustrating...the phone connects to the internet through email, i go into IE and it says connecting on the bottom left hand corner and then the same error message comes up...

Ok if you have any websites saved as favorites in PIE, launch PIE and try launching a favorite saved in PIE then navigate Menu/Tools/Options/ and tap use default as the PIE Home Page that might get PIE out of that funky mode

Still nothing...i selected a page from my favorites and it shows in the address bar, error message comes up, i hit ok and try to put that page as default but it won't let me do that....i soft reset a bunch of times before and now while trying again and it still doesn't work for me
