everything is the same in the boxes, they don't give you memory cards or someone took it out of the one I bought.

Its a Sprint issue. All Sprint devices use that STUPID online page that I know of...

Everything in the box is the same except I did not see a memory card nor specifically check for one.

I just downloaded the battery and performance hack without a hitch. I don't think I know the phone enough to notice a difference, but we'll see.

I finally figured out how to send picture messages. A bit confusing for me that it was different from regular text messages, but now that I figured it out, it should be easy enough. I was just used to how my old camera phone did it.

As far as the question about what is in the box, there was the Touch (obviously), a battery, a home charger, USB to dual USB splitter, USB to USB/2.5mm headset splitter, USB to 3.5mm stereo adapter, extra stylus, USB cable, USB stereo headset, case with a belt clip, Quick start guide, "read first" poster, screen protector, and microsoft companion CD. It also states that there is a user manual, but, as I stated before, I did not get that. I should let the sales rep know, maybe he set it aside and forgot to give it to me, it sure would be nice to have. It also has "step by step" phone instructions at alltelstepbystep.com.

I am wondering if I try a different text app like pocketcm, if it will change my mms functions. I really do not like the standard texting with this, but I would hate to lose the option to send pics and vids.

How about those registry editors? Total commander or something? Is it easy to really mess stuff up, or should I give it a go?

I was looking at that cube configuration tool, will that work with Alltel's 4 sided cube? That one side is pretty worthless full of Alltel's crap to purchase.

As far as Alltel customer service, I have had no problems, In fact I have been very pleased with them, enough to sign a 2 year contract. They have been pleasant and knowlegable when I dealt with them, but maybe i have just been lucky?? I used to be with Verizon years ago, and if I was late with a payment they would just shut me off, no warning. Alltel is great when I have been occasionally late. They sent me a couple texts, then they call. When they call they have been very friendly. I am late with my payments to them more than I should be, and have yet to get turned off. (How about a good money manager app??? LOL!)

I am in total agreement about the 4th side. It has almost zero functionality. I have been reading about the Sprint Cube Configuration Tool. Has anyone tried it?

That silver/grey does look nice actually. Do you have any more pics of it?

As for memory card - I'm on sprint and got a 512 meg card with my mogul, but there was none included with my Touch. No biggie as I wanted to have a larger capacity card in there anyway and got a 4 gig card for next to nothing.
The Sprint Touch comes with a 512MB card. Mine came with one. It was actually pretty sufficient for me, but I went and got a 2GB card anyway cuz it was cheap
