I think it's pretty funny I live in Boston, MA and Alltel doesn't offer service in my area... what kind of company is this!

A Regional Carrier. To be considered a national carrier they should cover most of the tourist towns if not all. Alltel probably has decent roaming coverage there though at no additional charge.
