windows media player control on home plugin

I installed the HTC home customizer yesterday and set up the home plugin so that the music tab launches windows media player. It worked perfect in that when I launched WMP and played a song and minimized it, the music tab on the home screen would show what song was playing and i could pause/ff/rwd. Today when I tried hitting launch music player from the music tab on the home plugin, WMP launches, but when I minimize the home screen does not display what song is playing nor can i use the play/ff/rwd buttons to control it. I did install pocketcm, but even when I uninstalled it, the music tab does not function properly. Anyone else have this problem and have a solution?
