Question Internet Exploring Applications Help, please... *RESOLVED* (thanks to _sandman)

Hello all. Been keeping tabs on this forum along with XDA-Dev since I started getting into HTC phones... (which was like, middle of December last year...w00t.) Anyways, I originally got a Vogue, had no problems with it except for some minor quirks that irritated me, so I traded it in for a Mogul. Big mistake. So I begged, pleaded, groveled, and threatened Sprint (and the 3rd party retailer) until they very kindly gave me my original Vogue back. So here's my problem...

On my Mogul, the only 2 things I liked about it were the keyboard, and the VERY smooth Internet scrolling. It was almost (but not quite) the equivalent of browsing on a desktop, nice smooth scrolling, no clipping, etc. And that was just in PIE! With Opera Mobile (not that Mini java-version crap) It scrolled like butter sliding down a hot frying pan. Now, to my knowledge, the Vogue and Mogul have the same Qualcomm 7500 400mhz processor, the same OS memory, and to top it off, the Vogue has TWICE as much program Ram!

So could someone please explain to me why scrolling in PIE, Opera, and Netfront on the Vogue is about as jerky as a 5 year old trying to drive a manual transmission? And better yet, could someone PLEASE help me to fix it, if its not a problem with every Vogue?

PS: I did do plenty of searching on this forum trying to find any related information before I asked for help. Just so you know. =D>

Thanks-
The O

EDIT: Jan 8 - Grammatical Error. *sheepish grin*

With the original java machine, opera was a pain. Once I installed esmertec jbed, I haven't had any issues scrolling.

Picsel, I might look into that. But as for the Java comment, I'm not using the Java-based version of Opera Mini, I'm using Opera Mobile, the actual WinMo application. Not sure if that uses Java or not.

Opera Mini is top dog. Pain in the butt to install though. You'll see huge threads on it on different boards. Once you get it working you'll see why.

Picsel has eye candy but when you want to browse and read stuff it's and lots of clicks dragging the page around. It's coolest feature is it's kinetic scrolling will break as soon as you go into options. Opera Mini is faster and more functional for real browsing.

Opera Mini is a free service (similar to ThunderHawk). The pages are retreived and formatted to fit your device (most importantly all the text and images are formmeted to fit your screen). You can also choose the compress/quality of images. Then the server sends it down to your phone.

I've tried Picsel, NetFront, Opera Mobile, PIE Plus, PIE and Opera Mini and all I use now is opera mini. First browsers on PPC that even begins to approach the iPhone Browser (which is very good).
