You didn't read closely. I said the file WAS in startup folder.
They no longer do it that way. They bury it as part of one of the services. The new way to do it is to over write \Windows\HTC_CM_Guardian.exe I have not done this myself, I'm just relaying what I read elsewhere. And the file is there, I can see it now using Total Commander. |

bad, I was not replying to you but to the OP. He's looking in the wrong folder. There is nothing related to HTC_CM_Guardian in that startup folder any more.
But you are correct the file he is interested in, is hidden (in /Windows directory). |
