For whatever reason you are getting a text with your data provisioning info.

If you let it complete it will update your PCS Data settings.

It will not be a direct ROM, or OS upgrade, those need to be flashed to the phone manually via USB.

Dont panic, its all ok.

Yeah, you got it.

Normally from time to time you may notice your SPCS data settings get out of whack. You can initaite the "Provisioning" from within the phone should you need to.

For whatever reason you got an auto provisioning message from SPCS. If your internet/data access are ok, then dont worry about it.

I saw the same thing this morning. I got the notification and then the thing attempted to establish a data connection, I was guessing to "phone home" or something of that sort. Being paranoid, I interrupted the process by cancelling the data connection.

Well frankly i cannot say if they are not doing it for a reason, especially if several of you are getting the message.

In this case, perhaps they are updating settings and need to page all the Touch subscribers.

Its absolutely no harm to allow it to update.

I've also been getting this message since yesterday. The data provisioning keeps failing too (error 1012).
