Yes. It's not really an application but a system setting or system applet. It's accessable from the HTC Home launcher. In fact it's on there by default.
To customize HTC Home. Click the button on lower right (Circle with X), it will switch to a return arrow. Then click on button you want to replace (that will clear it). Then click the button on lower right again (now with return arrow). Now that spot you cleared will have a grey circle with a + (plus) in it. Tap it (or tap and hold I forget). Now browse for "Rotate Screen" 4th from the top in the list. Choose Select at the bottom and your done.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I'm looking to customize the HTC Sprint Home, which is different from HTC Home
If you look at the link below, the part I'm trying to customize is on the phone on the right, just above the "no upcoming appointments" line. That module doesn't have the app picker that the HTC Home module does. To modify it, you have to edit an XML document and point it to an executable. http://hongkongphooey.files.wordpres...ed-touch1a.jpg |

I see, sorry I didn't read it closer. I dumped the Sprint HTC Home. I customize the Start menu with 7 Short cuts (I put all my system management related stuff there). And put all my day to day common stuff on HTC Home. Which gives me 16 short cuts (7 of which require another click on the start menu). I save that Sprint HTC Home space for Calendar and Weather Panel.
Why not put the System Applet like things (like rotate screen) on HTC Home and reserve the Sprint HTC Home for just standard apps. If that doesn't work for you, you might look in the registry for what HTC Home puts in there for Rotate screen and see if you can apply it to Sprint HTC Home. |
