I've had my Touch for a couple of weeks now (in New Zealand) and love it. Its great! Battery and screen seem much better than my Apache. It'll be even better when we get some custom roms.
But one thing I have noticed is with the built in 20 key keyboard. It seems fine, I'd probably use it BUT: it seems I cannot get it to add words with apostrophes in them! Like " i'll " or " we'll " etc!
Every time I try, as soon as I eneter the apostrophe, it ends the 'add word' thing..
Note that I have no trouble adding other, simple words. And note that the 12 key keyboard seems to add apostrophe words ok..
Weird eh?
Anyway, I am using touchpal and would probably prefer it anyway (although I think it should allow you to add words with numbers in it - like " every1" as i do a lot of SMS messages), and find it great.
Oh, another thing:
every time I open an app (like the SMS app) that needs text input, the on screen keyboard defaults to hidden away. It takes any excuse to hide again too. Minor annoyance, but has anyone else noticed this as well?
Anyway really pleased with the Touch (CDMA), and these are only minor issues. It's still a lot better than the Apache, and certainly smaller and better in the hand. Wifi would have been nice but oh well, hardly used it on the apache anyhow..
