Whats wrong with my background?

Everytime I try to use a black background it comes up gray. I went into photoshop and created an all black picture, and it came up gray. Any picture I use also comes up with a gray haze over it too. The only program I am using is HHC Home customizer, everything else is stock.

open up the picture file on your phone, go to menu, set picture as today background, and then set the transparency to 0

Sweet, thanks. I was using the camera album, that never asked for transparency.

thank god you asked this and someone answered! I've been on the brink of throwing my phone trying to figure this out! I tried everything from photoshop to pocket artist to get it black. Thank you thank you thank you!
