I've found that manually setting the time back an hour works until you use data.
But I've also learned that if you try to set an alarm and set the time back too many times you will have a repeating alarm that cannot be deleted. So I had 3 alarms called "wake" that went off at 5pm every day that I could not find in the Clock Settings, or in the registry! Had to hard reset to get rid of them. So I would suggest turning off your alarms while roaming.
