disable the notification message on an incoming call?

I have searched and unable to find - It ssems that when my phone (Sprint HTC Touch) is locked via S2U2, when i get an incoming phone call the default notification message pops up on the screen momentarily, then the slide to unlock app comes up...anyone know of a way to disable the notification message on an incoming call? In Settings, Sounds/Notifications, Incoming Phone Call there's not even an option to disable "Display message on screen".

or maybe there's a reason i wouldnt' want to do this and i'm just not aware?
