I have the same issues. Also my phone is turning itself on every so often. Its funny cuse I sms a lot nd will have the phone off then it will light up and I think ooo here comes a new message. Then nothing.
My phone with light browsing sms and a few calls is on exclimation by the end of every day. I assumed the battery that came with it was not actually designed to operate the phone as intended for a whole day

I'm far from an expert but I've read some tips over the past few days that might help:

-Disable GPS location
-HTC battery hacks
-Make sure you don't have an active Sprint Vision connection constantly (click to turn it off)
-Switching back and forth between EVDO and 1X can drain your battery if you are in an in between towers locale
-There's something about active sync coming on automatically when not linked to the computer and draining battery. There's a hack to go into the notifications menu from memaid or something (sorry i'm a noob)
-Syncing email all the time can drain battery
-Bluetooth discovery on can drain...
