BioTouch and APLauncher are both running after a boot, so if APLauncher is the one that drives the first app launcher page, that would explain why it comes up right away the first time you pull up the cube. But if the second cube side is being handled by CustAPLauncher, it has to load the first time you pull up the cube.

So, the question is, do you know any way to get CustAPLauncher loaded on startup as well? It looks like StartUPBiotouch.exe is what loads the cube. I'm assuming the old version didn't preload CustAPLauncher either, so I don't know why it's so much slower on the new ROM. But I would expect that if I could get it preloaded somehow, that'd solve my problems.

i have been having the same issue with the first leaked and 2nd leaked ROMs. So I'd love to know if there is a fix too.

Thanks again Music! Great program!

Re: Introducing the iCube

I've been trying out Vista Cube 2.0. It's got a bit of an initial delay too, but it's nowhere near as bad as what I saw with iCube. I'm starting to like the look of the Vista cube and Spunk3's cube, but I really was a big fan of the iCube as well.

It might be possible to port the look of the iCube onto the Vista Cube 2 or S3 cube framework. I don't know if that would make the problem go away. I haven't decided yet if I'm going to take the time to try this myself. :)

The only downside of doing that (and it's a downside for the Vista Cube and S3 cubes as well) is that the customizer thisguyinoc wrote works with the iCube. The S3 customizer (which also works for Vista Cube 2) isn't quite as user friendly, but it does get the job done. I assume that by porting the iCube to the Vista Cube 2/S3 cube framework, it'd no longer work with thisguyinoc's customizer.

You would need to tweak the Registry a little bit to get rid of the Media Page on iCube. I'll try and do a step by step. Everything is in the \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Biotouch root unless otherwise stated.

- in the \Biotouch dir, change the value of TotalCubes to 3

- in the \Biotouch dir, change the value of TotalBMP to 33

- in the \Biotouch dir, delete the value App2 (which should me MediaHubMini) and change the name of App3 to App2, and change App4 to App3

-in the \Biotouch dir, delete the binary Cube2 (your animation will be off no matter what you do, but this will seem a little less off) and rename Cube3 to Cube2 and Cube4 to Cube3

That should do it. Soft reset and you will now have a 3 sided iCube with a QuickDial and 2 App Launchers.

Re: Introducing the iCube

I think this is appropriate to this thread: In case it hasn't been mentioned (I couldn't find the answer anywhere else), the reason the '4th' side of the cube (AKA iCube Side #2) doesn't show, is because of a registry miss-type. Both sides are pointing to the same application launcher.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Biotouch\Biotouch

App3 and App4 should NOT both point to CustAPLauncher.exe

Remove the 'Cust' from one or the other. Save and soft reset.

Re: Introducing the iCube

I cannot get this to work. I have an AT&T Tilt and its running windows mobile 6, so i downloaded and tryed both versions and the same thing happens, after it is done downloading, it doesnt ask me to restart the device (which it should) and says it may not run correctly because it was made for an earlier version of windows mobile. Is there a place where i can get it for windows mobile 6? or does anyone have any ideas on how to get it to work? i have seen it on other Tilts but i cant figure out how to do it. Any help would be appreciated thanks!
