i am sorry i was not coming on here to brag. for those of you getting reasonable data rates for years the point of my post was that in Canada up on till November 2007 we had little or no options for data. most Canadian providers (telus, bell, rogers) were offering

$25 for 4MB
$60 for 30MB
$100 for 100MB

so this is very exciting for us to finally be able to use a data device as a data device.

Yes, that's Sprint Sero.

Sero is beautiful. Don't forget the free roaming and free data roaming.

You are soooo right. I was despairing that the Cdn. cell providers were going to continue to collude in keeping data pricing high and as much as I have never been fond of Bell, you really got to hand it to them for being the first to jump. Because of them, I was able to get Telus to give me the $15 unlimited data plan on the Touch in addition to a new Touch for $99 in spite of being in the middle of a 3-year contract on my 6700. I've been walking around for the last week expecting Telus to call me and say they made a mistake! It sure is nice being able to use the data features without having to worry about going over the 4mb limit. I now can understand why many folks don't care about having wifi!

The reason why I switched to Sprint is for their data plan, I was with Verizon and $50/month for unlimited data was just too much for me... I cut my monthly cell phone bill by 2/3rds!

A. how do you get the touch for free along with the sero plan, the best i can find is their online price of 350 + 100 sprint rebate + 75 kellog rebate = $175.


B. how are you getting 1000min for 24.95. Even with all the perks and discounts, it wouldn't lower it that much.

C. I'm jealous and want to find out if it's reproducible.
