Angry ---SPB Backup Error---

So this is probably the 3rd time I've had to hard reset my Touch .. I use SPB Backup and it works fine; I installed a couple programs and everything was cool...went to sleep and decided to backup when I woke up and now the loading icon is stuck on the "WARNING.SPB Backup will stop all the application....etc"

Can anyone PLEASE elaborate on this? Before I was having the problem where the cube was spinning but the process bar was not moving at all, and after about 3-5 minutes it said something like, "SPB has been running (blah blah blah) and asked would you like to stop "yes or no" .... this is getting very frustrating as for I found the only way to fix this is to hard reset .. I have tried installing/uninstalling different versions of SPB Backup 1.6.2 - 1.6.3 and still the exact same issue .. I even uninstalled a couple programs on my phone that I thought might have disabled Backup to stop functioning correctly and NOTHING ... PLEASE give me some insight; if this has happened to anyone else as well; please share

I had the version before the latest on my Touch, and it took over an hour to create a 35 meg backup, and over an hour to restore it. I checked the website today, and there was a build from Nov 22 that I missed. I did a backup with it today, and it went in 1/2 the time. I still think there is an issue on the Touch, as it should only take about 15 minutes to back up/restore the phone.

When I get time, I am going to shoot them (SPB) an email to see what the issue might be.

Under "Tools" uncheck the box that says "Stop processes before backup" and try to rerun SPB Backup.

I had the same problem as you did and when I unchecked "Stop processes before backup" it worked fine.

Let me know if that works for you.

I've been trying SPB Backup and i gave up. At least I never purchased it. Now I'm trying Sprite and I'm also having some problems. Coming from a Treo, why is it so difficult to make a simple backup program?

No problems with Sprite Backup here. Lots of issues with SPB Backup.
