Using the Sprint Touch with Other Carriers
Hello, all!
I am getting a Touch this weekend and I am planning to flash the PRL on the phone to use it for Cricket: http://www.mycricket.com A few of us in the Cricket forums over at HowardForums.com have already gotten voice and text to work this way on Cricket's network, and there is even a way to get WAP to work, but so far, the settings won't stay put. My questions are: How many Touch users here are using a Sprint Touch for another provider? And also, are non-Sprint Touch users experiencing the same problem that Sprint users are, as some of the problems I have read here might be more inherent to the network and not the phone itself. Thanks for all of your contributions to the forums here: My Sprint 6700 on Cricket has been "re-born" dozens of times, each time even more awesome than the last. EDIT: I should have titled this thread, "Using the Sprint Touch with Other Carriers". The current title sounds misleading. Mods: Is there any way one of you could change the title of this thread please?

In case anyone was interested, we have gotten the Touch working on Cricket:
http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1285705 Results are still too early to tell, but so far WAP and MMS have been verified working. |

Re: Using the Sprint Touch with Other Carriers
As for the settings changing back I think your answer lies in the HTC_CM_Manager program hope that helps.

yes that program changes all the comm settings on boot if you replace it with a dummy file it won't change the settings anymore

Re: Using the Sprint Touch with Other Carriers
It is in the windows folder what starts it I'm not sure but you just use resco explorer and overwrite it with a dummy file then when the phone reboots it will no longer change all the comm settings back.
