Cube Icons Thread

No, you don't need a Hex editor any more thanks to the bmp to brn program on the first page of this thread.

Your requests are always welcome!

On a side note, while developing the iCube I've discovered that the Application Launcher will use any brn that IconPath and IconPressPath is pointed to, even if it is in \My Documents\My Pictures. I'll be taking advantage of this in the iCube by putting all the icons in a folder in My Documents, that way it makes it easier to swap them out. Me and Zyphlin should be done by the weekend, wish us luck!

Put yall's icons in "\My Documents\Cube Icons" thats where my icon pack puts all it's icons. Then the user will have one place to get icons from.

I think you all probably know this, but the animations can be linked from anywhere too, I setup a blank cube animation folder in my docs and just changed the source folder in Cube Config, you can cut and paste if you use the (stylus) keyboard then windows std.:
ctrl c
ctrl v

One thing I noticed on Cube Config, it errors out if you leave the Name on the 6-Side App Screen blank (at least for the bottom left icon) however you can have nothing displayed by inserting a blank space w/ space bar.

I may be able to do this eventually, but if anyone can do this, I would be eternally grateful!

I have the 8-Button 4th side with the .brn file containing all icons as one image. I would like my icons to go to:

- Voice Dial
- Camera Album
- Comm. Manager
- Mailbox
- File Explorer
- VTap
- Google Maps
- MS Word

Can anyone do this? Thanks!

WHAT!!!??? The iCube share an icon folder with the Vista Cube!!!???

Just a thought - if the iCube is going to host more than the eight icons someone might want to talk to the Config tool developer.

It is amazing to watch this process unfold right in front of my eyes - agile and open source at its best.

You guys all rock and are a credit to the community.

Music and I are discussing what to do in regards to customizing. I understand concerns there all to well cause I'm a noob really when it comes to registry hacking (very little experience with it.)

That said, we're looking at a 4x3 layout, along with possible extra pages in the future, so it does open up issues with using a current customizer and needing to get something made for it.

First things first though is finishing the first release up and getting it put out though All I can say is Music has done an OUTSTANDING job, and should get 90% of the credit once it comes out
