Standby Lockup Issue

I've found a possible temporary fix for the problem. Iv'e had the touch for 4 days now and every night it would lockup in standby, one time draining the battery to 5%. last night I turned off the automatic updates for the weather plugin, and email check. This morning it was still working!! I'll try it for a few days like this and see if it keeps working. My guess is that I'm in a weak EVDO area and having it kick in and out of EVDO is causing the lockups????
