BT with best volume? No need to mess with AudioPara?

I bought a Plantronics 220 headset last night and while I like the idea of having my hands free (and its fairly comfortable - for a headset anyway), the volume just isn't loud enough. The volume on max is still next to nothing... And I'm not hard at hearing in the least.

Anyone have any good recommendations for something a little more amplified? This was my first BT purchase and I am happy with the results minus the volume... range could be a touch better too but I won't complain much about that so long as I can get louder volume and possibly some noise canceling.

the plantronics 655 actually respects the bluetooth volume registry setting.. (something my previous headsets have ignored..)

I don't have the exact registry setting right now but can find it if you need it.. the 655 is quite loud w/ the settings.

Hmmmm... I may have to pick up a 655 instead then.

Thanks for the info!
