Instant Messaging?

Ok guys..what is the deal with instant messaging on the Touch. I was told by the Sprint Rep that I would be charged for yahoo IM. There are some applications on my phone for instant messaging...but when I try to connect with them the all say the server is down.

What is the best way to do yahoo IM and will I have to pay for each message sent and received? Thanks for your help!!

If you have a Power Vision the description included unlimited instant messaging (I can't seem to find the link now), which I believe means the OZ Instant Messaging app on the Touch. I don't know exactly how it works, it may also use text messages, so if you don't have unlimited text messages you need to be careful.

There are other options...

You can try Palringo which provides Yahoo support and I'm sure there are others out there.

I finally talked to someone at Sprint and she stated that all charges were included in my unlimited internet plan and she documented it...Hopefully she is right.
