Text messageing Ringtones.

Is there any way to make custom or the defaul ring tones for incoming text messages. Also is it possible to make them repeat. my rings once and i sometimes end up missing it.

just convert your short clip into wav and save it in \windows. go to setting and sound and apply.enjoy

Id also like to know how to make my text message sound REPEAT. There's a check box in the settings to make it REPEAT but it is not active. My sounds only chime one time and then thats it. Im oncall 24x7 and if I get paged during the middle of the night... Ill never wake up with one chime. Anyone?

for repeating notifications... i would look into treo alerts. dont let the name fool ya. treo alerts works on the touch/mogul too.

the attached version is for the touch. it is beta 7 with a small fix for the touch. works good. the only thing that doesn't work on the touch that works on the treos is the led color. we cant change the led colors like we can on the treos.

You do not have to convert the sound to wav. Just make short Mp3 and drop into \Windows and select as alert. Simple.

Still nobody have a concern about their text messaging sound going off only once? I get paged at all hours of the night via text message for work... and If it only chirps one time... Im never going to wake up. Anyone have any real work around for this? The REPEAT choice is listed in the settings but not selectable. It is greyed out.
