Dialing Extensions

I have a lot of phone numbers stored in my phone with extensions entered as 111-111-1111 x 111 and when I select the contact to call, it dials the entire number including the extension. The call will not go through because it is an invalid phone number.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I don't know why they Windows Mobile can't implement something as simple as this. Takephone on the Palm was the best program because it would recognize the extension and you would press a key to dial the extension like a hard pause.

to insert a hard pause use 'w'. When you dial the number, press talk to enter the '123'

ie. 555-123-4567w123

The problem is that I use ACT at work and Companionlink to sync my contacts. It automatically puts a x for the extension. I don't think there is a way to change that but I will check.

I've been looking for the way to program a hard pause. I just ended up putting in 4 commas which works ok as long as the call is connected within 2 or 3 rings, any more and it messes up the timing.
I'll try the "w" instead.
