Auto Correct & Auto Suggest Stop Working

Im having a problem on my HTC touch with PCM Keyboard. The auto correct and auto suggest features stop working after a while without actually disabling the feature. Once I notice that these features are not working, I go into the keyboard options screen and find that the two boxes have been mysteriously unchecked. Then I check the boxes thinking that this will turn the features back on but it does nothing. The only way for me to get these features to start working again is to soft reset the device. After a period of time, the behavior resumes.

PLEASE HELP.
