I don't think I'm over reacting, just making an observation of the facts. Which are...You get a working phone for almost half the price and question why it did not come with a 512 card and instead got a 128 one. I can see if it was directly from Sprint or a authorized retailer, then yeah I can see going the extra step of trying to get the right card, a discount etc, but its been established in this thread that he is getting them in an unusual (shady) way. That being the case, I would count my blessing and move on. From your original statement, your post (#155) was not as explicit as the last one so to me it looked like you were crying over spilled milk and wanted more of a great bargain. Hence my comments.

Back to the main idea. When everyones TEP monthly or deductible goes up we know two people plus the group to blame at least...whether or not you knowingly received stolen property is irrelevant. But maybe ill be the moral one and report this whole ordeal to sprint's fraud department and let them investigate it. Maybe i should just watch out for myself so MY TEP doesnt go up and screw whoever else it effects...But i wouldnt do that cause im not a jerkoff and do care bout others and dont think you guys should have something happen tot he phones you bought.

Im not telling anyone to do anything or bossing anyone around or preaching, im just stating facts that others receiving the phones are backing up by their accounts. If there is a crime being committed it SHOULD be reported so it does not continue and we as customers suffer with higher rates. And personally im NOT willing to pay another few bucks a month so the buyers here can enjoy half price phones. Dont like what i think or have to say because your part of the party who got in on this getting one cheap? sorry Charlie, but theres an ignore button or can simply not read. Im not off topic since im directly discussing the phones being sold, with users who received them backing up the theory too that they came from asurion with return kits, nor have violated any forum rules

Do you know for a fact that these phones are illegal? NO so stop posting how its illegal. Until Sprint contacts these phone owners, if they even do, nothing is illegal.

I'm not a moral authority, but what seems "right to me" at least is as long as this seller is going through Ebay/Paypal, Ebay/Paypal are ultimately responsible for overseeing the transactions taking place. I don't think any ethical "fault" falls upon a person who purchases from this seller, because the buyer hss no ethical responsibility to "dig up the dirt" or expose the seller, that's ebay's job. Now if transactions were taking place in a venue such as this or in a relatively unregulated scenario, then it would be the buyer's responsibility to look into the credibility and business ethics of the seller

Besides, I very highly doubt this seller would still be in business if he and an "inside guy" unless this "Inside guy" was very high up. Like any large corporation, Sprint has checks and balances to make sure they're not losing revenue.

Wait wait wait wait.. I have sat back reading all these posts about these phones being illegal/shady/whatever and not said anything. I just want to know how these people who are saying this know? Do you work for Sprint? Do you work for Asurion? There is not one single detail except for hearsay and MAYBE the fact that they came from Sprint Returns that makes these phones seem illegal. Maybe he knows someone who has a warehouse for Asurion and has no room to store all these so needed to sell a few? See, that seems just as believable as them being stolen/illegal.

You've stated your opinion on this matter time, and time, and time again in this thread. Anyone that doesn't get it now, isn't going to get it with you continuing on.

No on that bought this phone had any indication there was anything fishy when they bought it. Apparently neither have close to 500 people who've bought from him and people still buying from him. Apparently Paypal and Ebay both don't have a problem with him either. So there was no reason upon buying to think it was something fishy. And in the midst of talking to Sprint today to get my account upgraded for Sprint TV, they told me my phone was fine, it had a clear ESN, so I have nothing to worry about. If they would like to run some kind of giant investigation of this guy, fine by me. Its their choice.

So you can do one of two things. Continue whining every other post on here about how your insurance rates are going to go up, how we're all immoral fools, how you're a great law student, and that we're all stupid and costing you money while we continue to basically ignore you since we got it all the first time you posted and don't need another few paragraphs. OR....stop wasting your finger strokes in the thread.

Hey, call up Apple while you're at it...between the iCube and all the iPhone themes here, I"m sure they'd have a fun time...and it'd make you morally superior than us all. Oh, I think I saw a post in one of the forums that referred to a website that had links to hacked programs. You should sniff it out, follow it, and report the site to each of the companies.
