bad batch of cameras?
I just received the Touch on 11/15/07 and it shows a manufacture date of 10/26/07. I have been using the Mogul for several weeks now but would like to switch to the Touch but this particular unit must have a bad camera. What do you think?
Both cameras where set to the same exact settings: Mogul pic: good exposure and no "artifacts" in pic http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3.../IMAGE_028.jpg Touch pic: lots of streaks ("artifacts") and very low exposure http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...s/IMAG0022.jpg |

I don't know about anybody else, but to me that first picture looks like a cheap digital camera, and the second one looks like a decent digital camera without a flash or auto apature.
Go into settings on the camera and go to advance and then image properties. Set the contrast to +1 for decent indoor pictures.

After working with some of the settings including the suggested contrast setting I was able to get the picture to look a little better.
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...s/IMAG0024.jpg Doesn't anyone notice the "static" on the Touch photo vs the Mogul photo? I would like to switch to the Touch because of the weight, less moving parts, like the interface, and no "super" bright blinking lights but the camera is holding me back. The great thing about a camera phone is not that it takes the best pics but that you always have it with you and can snap shots at any moment. With the mogul, I can just point and click and get a decent shot. It looks like with the Touch, that I have to change a bunch of settings before I get a pic that is remotely decent. If you look at the physical camera on the touch vs the mogul, the mogul looks like it has a more robust lens. The touch just looks like a piece of plastic with a hole in it. Thanks for all your input. Anyone have a touch manufactured on 10/26? |
