Wishlist for the Touch Successor

I love my touch - I really really like it sooo much more than my mogul. I wrote up a long review of how much I think this phone kills the mogul for me. I don't think this phone fits into a category for those who want a keyboard so I don't think a physical keyboard would be an item that should be listed - more for people looking for the next iteration of the mogul.

This thread is not a gripe - I really really am happy with the touch but technology doesn't sit still and I'll want a new toy a year or so from now when the technology improves.

As much as I love the Touch, I tend to think about what I'd like a year or so from now on my next model -(and give the engineers time to build it)

1. VGA screen - with more viewing angle than current Touch

2. Better battery life - battery technology improves every year - and perhaps some things can be done to reduce battery drain like OLED or BT 2.1.

3. A flash LED - I really miss using the flash on the mogul and 6700 as a flashlight - and you might as well build the app into the phone instead of having to download a 3rd party app.

4. More side hardware keys so that you can assign some to voice command - camera button awkward to get to for voice command.

5. More built in memory - I'm happy with the micro SD and the current unit but storage demands always increase - my first PC hard drive was 120MB - try getting a new HD under 80GB. No reason our phone can't move forward. A year from now I'll want more memory.

6. A FULL GPS (not assisted GPS)- you could make a combo GPS card/8GB micros SD storage card for all I care - I just have an issue with monthly fees to Sprint for anything.

7. Faster video processor and or CPU - I want to be able to view mapping software instantaneously.

8. BT 2.1 - why not save a little battery life.

I'm very happy with the Touch. This is a great phone. Hopefully the next model can include some of this newer technology to make it even better. I change my car every 8-9 years, my PC ever 1.5-2.5 years but I change my phone as often as I can if the technology has improved enough.

That would make it the mogul successor. This is about the touch successor.

HTC has already developed a Touch successor, the Touch Dual, with a suretype style keyboard in a slider form factor, and the Touch cruise, with a jog dial and many other improvements.
Whether these devices will come to CDMA is the real question...

Thanks - I saw the Touch Dual -not much about it says to me it is a successor - more of a variant - not that that is a bad thing but I don't see anything about the Touch Dual that makes me want to trade out my Touch for it. Mind you I realize some people might prefer the Dual but not one of the things on my list of reasons to upgrade is on the Dual.

I was at mall today where I decided to cruise inside the AT&T store where the NEW HTC Tilt was. I have to stay that phone was amazing! I could not ask for anything else and I am very picky when it comes to cell phones. The scrolling on the phone (like in file explorer, ie, contacts, ect, was so easy to scroll (you dont have to put a lot of pressure on the screen like the Touch)! It has the same specs as the touch except it has a 3.0 megapixel camera and real GPS!!!!!!! AND its only 299!!!!!!!! Everything on that phone was amazing - the screen tilts hence the name HTC tilt!!!!!!!!!!!! When will sprint adopt this phone????? lol

I set up a Tilt for a client - nearly the same as the mogul minus the BT issue, plus the tilt and an adapter in the back. The hard keys didn't let you remap correctly so it has some issues as well.
