Aight... switch ESN from Touch to Mogul... but Mogul still running???

I don't even know if this is in the right forum but oh well...




So I purchased my touch off Ebay and had the ESN changed /via phone with Customer Service. Now the customer service rep told me to turn off the mogul so I just when in Comm Manager and turned off the phone part of the device.



Tonight for some reason I was curious to what would happen if it was turned on and BLAOW! Both my mogul and Touch had signal and I was puzzled and immediately turned off the phone data on the mogul.


Question... is it possible to have Sprint service on two different ESNs... ??

and if this is going to cause a billing issue... how do I make my mogul not point to my Sprint account???

I ask this because I might sell my mogul and I don't want the peron to turn on the phone and be like "OoOoo free service!" when its going to my account.

No, the Mogul will show it has signal, but if you try to call out or use data you will get an error message. Go ahead and try it. Call somebody on your Mogul. You will get the Sprint message "We are unable to validate your account. We are unable to complete your call at this time." and then it will hang up.


I know because I tried this myself!

Yeah, the phone can connect to sprint but not make calls except 911. A parent gave their child her old phone to play with. The child called 911 287 times. LOL
