sports ticker

Does anyone know how to have a scrolling sports ticker going across the bottom of the today screen?

It does require a constant connection. I use a similar mortscript based app that runs all the time and I don't see a noticeable battery drain.

I can't get this to work. It keeps telling me that there is no internet connection.
