how to put pauses in a contact number

HI there, i just bought the htc touch ..unreal phone
kinda of slow sometimes .
i just inputted some contacts in the address book..
i have this number that you dial then you wait for the prompt and input another number.
Anyone knows how to put a pause for like 3 seconds then dial the other number..thanks

If I'm not mistaken, you use a "," for a 1 second pause.

So for 3 seconds, use: 8885551212,,,11244

I just put a "p" in there, and that waits a couple seconds. I believe "w" waits for input from the user.
