I just had it happen to me again as well. It's happening almost once a day for me now and it's really annoying. I think I'm going to leave it like this and pay a visit to the Sprint store tomorrow to let them look at it. Has anyone else visited a store or called support on this issue yet?
EDIT: I do think it's interesting that I can still access my music that is stored on the card in WMP. Last edited by jhale83; 11-18-2007 at 10:57 PM. |

So a new development on my situation. I decided to sync my phone with my PC to see if I could see the storage card files on my PC. Before I connected the phone, all the folders were weird looking like codyppc mentioned above but when I connected it not only could I see the files on the PC but they also showed up again on the phone. So if anyone has this problem again, please try syncing and seeing if they show up again.

Juse writing me name down, this happened to me too. I guess we've found the big issue with this device.
Mine is a combo of the issues. Many folders have disappeared and some random files were created. These files are 6+ MB, which I had none of the size on my card, the corruption seems to have merged my folders into corrupted filed. My Live Search folder is there and the name is not corrupted either. There's also another random folder. This is very, VERY bad.

Anyone tweak their card or system cache settings?
Have any of us experiencing this issue done anything via registry edits or utilities (SKTools, MemMaid or similar) to alter any of the default WM cache settings? I have.
This sounds like a problem with the phone's cache becoming corrupt. Perhaps a soft-reset flushed the cache, temporarily returning the card display to normal. Perhaps every so often the corrupt cache data also gets written back to the card causing data loss. |

Throw my hat in the ring. I had an issue Sunday where I was unable to launch poutlook at all. Couldn't view mail, couldn't send mail...I tried everything. I had not added any software that should have messed with my mail at all, and in fact, it was working when I went to bed the night before. Woke up, not working...anyhoo...I hard reset and started from scratch. 3/4 of the way through reloading my apps, I see that half of my folders are missing on my 4gb SD card, and 2/3 of the ones that are left have corrupted names and symbols on them. I tried to open the corrupted folders, but no-go. So I soft reset (with a pit in my stomach), and the card came back after that. I am just waiting for it to happen again, since it from the sounds of it here, it will.
