Text and email tab on today screen wont open

The middle and left tab wont open however the right one, the call tab, will open my calls. I even went to a held call, clicked options or whatever, and clicked send text message and it wont open. I have sent a few test emails and texts and it wont recieve them. It was working fine, put it on the charger and went to sleep. When I woke up nothing will open now. Several soft resets and pulled the battery and let sit for a while. Running stock o.s. and still locked. I havent added anything new or changed anything in a few weeks. When you click those two tabs they will "highlight" still, they just don't seem to take you to the shortcut.

Any thoughts?
