stop the 1 from being added to my contacts (call list)

is there any way to stop the 1 from being added to my contacts and call history list? i have noticed that if i call a 10 digit number, then after the call is ended i save them to my contacts, i get it saved as an eleven number contact. for example... i call (816) 555-1212 then after i end the call i save the number from the call history is shows it as 1 (816) 555-1212. this is no biggie until i got an sms message from someone i didn't know. well i did know them. i had them saved under 1 (816) 555-1212 and the sms just read 8165551212 which didn't give me the callers name.

i remember somewhere on one of my many wm phones that i could disable this "add 1 to numbers" thing.

anyone know where.

Start - Settings - Phone - Services tab - Automatic Prepend option - click Get Settings - and then disable it

Should be about the same, got the steps from my Mogul.
