contacts auto-complete in outlook?

Hey,

I can't remember if the Touch was like this from the beginning or if I did something to mess it up.. I'm used to my Mogul giving me email address suggestions when I type the first few letters of a name.. I can't get this to work on the Touch...

Anyone else?

Thanks,
-mark

No one else has ran into this issue? This happened to me once on the MOgul and the solution was to hard-reset.. I'm trying to avoid doing that..

Does auto-complete of addresses work for you guys?

what i do is type the name and hit enter and usually it will try to autocomplete the name and you can hit right or left for more suggestions

Not working when use 'old' keyboard but work with Touch keyboards

This also happened to me when using the normal WinMo keyboard, but when I use the Touch Keyboard, Keypad, etc. - the address lookup works. If you are using the WinMo keyboard, try switching to the Touch ones.

Good luck.

This is a problem for me as well (using PocketCM keyboard). Is there a registry setting or something that only allows contact lookup to work with the stock Touch keyboards?

Using this regedit i lost it too

I did the reg edit to add the column on the right for a one touch go to letter of contact name function. the reg edit is this.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:M SCONTACTS]
1="\Windows\RandomAccess.exe" With this line being the one you edit the value. Somone who hasnt added the attached file please find out what the factory program on that key is. And anyone else who thinks they can add a regedit to bring the auto fill back please post it.

If you dont care about auto fill then this is a great add instead of pocket cm. Reg edit, and drop into windows folder for instal.

Bump. Isn't everyone here having this same problem? The auto-complete works in the threaded SMS app but doesn't work in Outlook. This is a big problem and I can't believe I haven't seen more complaints about it. Don't you guys find it annoying that you can't just start typing the name of the person you want to email and have their email address pop up automatically?

You're right - that is a bit off-topic. You should start a new thread.
