start ->settings -> sounds and notifacations -> notifacations ->
From the "events" menu select "messaging: new text message"
-uncheck "display message on screen"

I use SPB Shell 2 and HTC Home 3dTouchFlo.

How can I assign my default SMS application so that my messages will not go to the standard messaging application? I use SMS-Chat from vito technologies.

Will this work when playing music in flash on Skyfire? I use Skyfire for last.fm and jango.com and the music always stutters when the screen timeout. There has to be a way to fix this in the registry, much thanks to anyone who can find a way.

not unless its using windows media player and i dont belive it does but that does sound like a good project ill take a look at the registry after i get home later today.

Thank you, appreciate the help. Skyfire really seems like the best option for music on the touch because it allows you to play sites that let you rate music, skip, favorite, create playlists etc.

Is there a regedit that will change which order a missed call and a new voice message notification come up? My Touch has it set by default to where the new voicemail notification comes up first and rather than call and listen to it to figure out who called I would much rather just have the missed call notification come up first so I can know if I need to listen to the message or go about my business. Any help would be appreciated.
