thanks bro i believe i did this registry edit before and soft reset and no go i will give it another try maybe i left something out or entered it wrong?

Make Your PocketPC Faster

Open your registry editor on your Pocket PC
2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\GDI\GLYPHCACHE\
3. Change the value of 'limit' from 8192 to 16384… or even to 32768 for a faster setting but eats up more memory
4. Close registry editor and soft reset.

HKLM\System\StorageManager\FATFS

I changed the CacheSize key from 0 to 8192 and it seems to have sped up my ppc.
What is the highest number that you can set it to (noob here) without messing something up?

Just updated to 6.1 and have POCKETCM, but when I click on Contacts from the home screen, it brings up the original contacts program, NOT pocketcm, any ideas how to do so?

Kill the sprint homepage in IE
Anyone have a hack to get rid of the default sprint homepage in IE. No matter what you change in options it just goes back t o sprint.Sorry if this has been asked before but I did search the thread and came up empty.

had the same problem before. Uninstall, soft reset, reinstall, wait one minute, soft reset...

make your ppc faster

hklm/system/gdi/glyphecache change it to 131072

hklm/system/storage manager/fatfs...... change cache size to 4069

hklm/system/storage manager/filtersfsreplxfilt.......change it to 4069

then soft reset and go back to each one of them and make sure that they saved if not
do it all over again untill it stays it usually works the first time

Is there a way to prevent the active sync and instant messaging program from opening up by themselves? Every so often i'll check the programs that are running and they will be, even though I didn't start them up. Thanks in advance.

Bump that! I would like to know as well, everytime I soft reset my phone, active sync comes up, I close it out, about 30 minutes or so to an hour it opens back up under task manager; is there some sort of registry edit to fix this?
