No I'm Not A Mod But...

When posting reg edits for changing the apps on the cube can someone post a step by step in ONE post?

I'm trying to follow how to change the sprint store to Audio Manager but I'm still confused as to changing the path. Editing registry is to risky to randomly throw out bits and pieces of the procedure. I know this forum is ppcGEEKS, but we are not all on the same Geek level...

1. Install PHM regedit (it's free)
2. Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
3. Find and expand Software
4. Find and expand HTC
5. Find and expand Biotouch
6. Find and expand APLauncher
7. Highlight App0 folder in the top half of the screen
8. We are now going to do edits in the bottom half of the screen
a. Click on Name
i. Change the Value data to what you want the name to be
In my case, I used Amazon MP3 Store)
b. Click OK
c. Click on Path
i. Change the Value data to what you want to open when you click the button
In my case, I used \Windows\Favorites\AmazonMP3.url
d. Click OK
9. If you have other icons you can change the IconPath and IconPressPath. I did not and the shopping cart fit so I left it.
10. Exit the program
11. Soft reset.

To set path to open programs... typical locations for the .exe or .lnk are in \Windows \Program files or in \Start menu\Programs

To set path to open a PIE favorites link... look in \Windows\Favorites\***.url

I don't have Resco pocket radio so this is just a guess but have you tried it without the underscoring?

\Windows\Program Files\Resco Pocket Radio\Radio.exe

Also, try connecting your phone to the computer... explore the device from your computer to see what the file extension is... maybe it's a .lnk and not .exe

If it's still not working, I'll try to download the trial version to test.

tried it without the underscoring, I also navagated thru usb to make sure the path is correct and it still gives me the same error. Would you try to d/l it and try it out? Thanks.

I downloaded Resco Pocket Radio v1.71

Installed using radioen_p.arm.cab

In App1_1 my settings are

IconPath

Value data: \Windows\MH_01.brn

IconPlayingPath
Value data: \Windows\MH_2_01.brn

IconPlayingPressPath
Value data: \Windows\MH_2_01_HL.brn

IconPressPath
Value data: \Windows\MH_01_HL.brn

Name
Value data: Pocket Radio

Param

Path
Value data: \Program Files\\Resco Pocket Radio\Radio.exe

*Remember to click OK after each change. Exit Regedit and go back in to verify the change did in fact stick. And most important, Soft reset.

I verified the path works. Make sure to include all \'s, spaces and upper/lower casing.

EDIT- I just thought about this, did you install to Main memory or Card? The instructions above is for Main Memory. If you installed to card, the path will be different.

i just download the cube 2 my ppc 6800 by sprint but i know this sound bad but how do you upload it for u can start useding it.
if i could get some help please
