Just got the Verizon Touch and don't have a lot of time this week to customize. The HTC Home setup works perfectly for me with the exception of that huge clock. Is there an easy way to remove / replace that?

it's tied in with the messaging notifications but you can remove it through settings>personal>Today. click off the HTC Home plugin. If you just got it, Welcome! there's more to customizing this thing than one weekend or thread could ever reveal

when i try to install the Touch on my computer, i get an error message saying that the installation wizard cannot find the necessary hardware, even though i've put in the installation cd. anyone know how to fix this?

I think some more info is needed. Have you connected your pda to your pc? Has it found it as a new device?

yes, it says its found new device, and then the installation wizared comes up, but it can't find the software to install it. i'm not really sure how to fix it.

the top looks like a pretty simple setup using windows advanced desktop (WAD2). google it, real easy to setup. the icons are most likely also shortcuts through WAD. Below them is most deffinitly the weatherpanel with a default skin and then the standard home calendar plugin. really not hard to set up with some practice on WAD2. But clean and efficient.
