Thanks for testing!!! Now I need to seriously start thinking if I really need a hardware keyboard or not... I never used wi-fi, so that's a non-issue for me.
Cool!

Yes, it works like the Mogul - after the backlight interval (30 sec for me), goes dim, then in another 30 seconds goes dark. (Though the Mogul stays dim for over a minute - and I have both set to battery timeout=30 sec, ext power timeout=1 min). I just tried them side by side.

Couple more observations after carrying both today.
Both started with full charge 12 hours ago. Mogul has Seidio 1650 mAh battery (2 months old), Touch 1100 mAh stock. Mogul almost no use. Touch moderate use - probably equivalent to 1 hour on, playing, surfing, etc. Mogul at 60%, Touch at 70%. Screen side by side comparision - both set at 2 ticks below full bright. Touch is brighter head-on and from all 4 off-axis directions. Touch is sharper and higher contrast head-on and 3 off-axis. From the 'below' off-axis (tilt top away from you) Touch significantly loses contrast. (Not a big deal for me - I've had it for a day and just noticed it). Start to see it at 30 to 40 degrees. |
