When I click the txt msg icon in the middle of the screen, not the one at the bottom or the one in programs, it opens my MMS inbox first and leaves it running in the background and proceeds to open my txt box. I'll take a video of it tonight.

This is what happens on mine too... I removed the Threaded because of the not being able to see the entry section under the keyboard... Now how I miss it so...

Ok, so it works now. It isn't launching MMS anymore. I did install a few programs last night and did a few reg edits, none that I thought would do anything to this, but apparently something stopped it from happening.

I do also have the issue of not being able to see the text with the keyboard up, but that might actually be a plus, make you learn to use the keyboard better? Eh, whatever. I'll survive.

ya... whats the deal. What would you recommend for all of us Mogulians who are about to switch to the Touch. Should be switch or hold back? That is the 1000000 dollar question.

After reading all the reviews! I think it will be well worth it! Atleast until POS mogul gets a fix from sprint..They said 1Q of 08 I doubt it will happen till all the way towards the end of 1st Quater

So Switch! Or you can wait till monday and I will let you know!

Depends on your keyboard needs? If you do a lot of emails/text messages the Touch will drive you crazy! And with the new WM5 ROM out for the Mogul giving it 30mb of free memory it runs much better.

I like the Touch and I think I'll keep it, but the Mogul keyboard will be missed. I don't type enough to make it worth keeping though.

Also, btw I haven't used BT yet at all. Battery life "seems" better than the Mogul, but I won't be able to tell until tomorrow for sure since I didn't use it from 12-9 today w/ no contacts or anything. But it is 11pm now and it is still at 40% so.. we'll see.

Pros:
70mb free memory!!
X-Button pre-installed
Sprint TV (working as of Nov 3)
HTC Photo Album
Slingbox works great
Touchflo is great.
The keyboard is FLUSH with the unit finally!
Flash 7 and Opera Mini work amazingly on this unit
You can have calltones
Instant Messenger built in

Cons:
No hard button for start menu.
Slide up/down instead of wheel/ok button.
Threaded SMS works, but every time you launch it MMS runs first, then SMS. Kinda a pain, but worth it.
Getting used to the keyboard -> miss the Mogul keyboard.
Skype not working (might have installed the wrong version)
Take battery door off to get to microSD card
No flash (no flashlight)
No infared

Overall I'm happy with my choice to drop the Mogul for this. I'll miss the keyboard but I won't miss the bulkiness. This is a great device if you aren't typing emails all day and aren't looking for an enterprise phone. This phone is made for consumers that are tech savvy and it shows!

i just want to make some addition to what is already in this thread

Pros:
77 mb free memory!! with memory killer software
X-Button 2.0
Sprint TV
Sprint Music
Bluetooth Audio !!! Love it GREAT App
HTC Photo Album
Slingbox works great
Touchflo
HTC Touch 3D keyboard
Adobe Flash 7 and Picsel Browser work amazingly on this unit
PocketCM Contacts
You can have calltones
Instant Messenger built in
Skype Mobile (works with windows mobile 6.0)
Does have "INFARED aka BEAM" built in. You won't see the little black sensor anymore because it is all around the 4 sides of the phone
battery life is powerful 8 to 9 hours easily if you dont do email but with multi-tasking about 5 to 6 hours.
Threaded MMS you have to use the latest version 4.0 available from software section.

Cons:
No hard button for start menu.
Slide up/down instead of wheel/ok button.
Works great on it.
Getting used to the keyboard -> miss the Mogul keyboard. but you can buy the big button keyboard from www.omegaone.com which sells like 5 different kinds off keyboard apps
Take battery door off to get to microSD card
No flash (no flashlight)

There is not a single correct answer to this question, of course.

If you need a keyboard, and want lots of hard buttons - Mogul is better.

If you want more memory, thin, light - then Touch.

---------------

If I want to to drive through snow or tow something, I use my Ford Explorer.

If I want to go fast and sunburn my bald spot, I drive my BMW Z3!

Neither is "better" than the other - they just serve different purposes.
