HTC Touch won't update ROM correctly

Like whitey says you may have to flash a non-gps rom first before you can do anything else but I would try the .40 unlocker first.

I don't think you can just run the 2.31 unlocker now but I guess you can try it. I think what you need to do is put your vogue in bootloader and it should say serial on the screen. Then attach it to your 32bit OS (XP or Vista 32bit) PC and then it should say usb. Then run the .40 unlocker and let it finish . You may have to run it a few times until it says .40 coke for your spl. Then I would flash the stock shipped rom and then you should be back to stock ready to start over. If you still want to flash to a custom rom then by all means do a lot of reading before you try again. Codybear's faq is a great resource.

You will need to flash a NON GPS ROM FIRST. The unlocker requires an active sync connection and that can only be obtained through WINDOWS MOBILE.
Who was the original carrier for the phone? Was it Sprint Verizon or Alltel?

By the way, you may have to flash from your storage card if you can't get it to flash via usb.
