Phone Remote Control (.jar file)
I have searched all over the web to figure this out, but can't get it. I am trying to install Phone Remote Control on my HTC Touch Vogue. I haven't unlocked this phone, so maybe that is the problem, I am not sure. The program installs on your computer and then gives you a .jar and .jad file that you use on your phone. The requirements for the program are:
All Bluetooth solutions on the PC · A Bluetooth enabled Java MIDP2.0 JSR-82 mobile phone. · Microsoft Bluetooth solution · Widcomm Bluetooth solution · Toshiba Bluetooth solution (COM port automatically detected) · BlueSoleil Bluetooth solution (easy step-by-step guide to set correct COM port) I installed this program when it was Bluetooth Remote Control without any problems. It was installed via .cab then. Now it installs via .jar (or Java). When I try to install it it gives me this error: <910 application authorization failure> I have read that Sprint (my carrier) restricts certain ADPI files. Is this what is happening? This program is awesome, but I can't figure out how to get it on my phone now. Thank you. I have the HTC Touch Vogue Stock ROM right now. It isn't unlocked. Could that be the problem? |

![]() http://www.sprintusers.com/forum/sho...d.php?t=164128 Maybe that will help explain why you are getting the error.

Re: Phone Remote Control (.jar file)
No problem. I have not tried that software on my vogue. I don't think unlocking and flashing a custom rom will have any effect but a lot of users flash to upgrade to 6.5 and change the interface so if you have thought about doing that anyway then you'll probably find out. Good Luck to you!

Re: Phone Remote Control (.jar file)
It doesn't work on my unlocked Vogue from Verizon--I'm running WM 6.5 with NFSFan's ROM v13, but I get a bluetooth security exception, namely "the permission javax.microedition.io.Connector.bluetooth.client is not available". I tried using a custom JAD file with that permission enabled (or at least I think it was supposed to be enabled) but still got the same error, so I'm guessing that the version of Java I have doesn't use the same permission scheme as whatever the software was written for.

Re: Phone Remote Control (.jar file)
Thank you. I guess I will move on to G-Remote. The only thing that stinks about that is you have to setup a PAN, but I guess that's the hazards of war

Re: Phone Remote Control (.jar file)
Just tried GRemote Pro. I guess with the Pro version you don't have to do a PAN. It works great so I guess I will say good bye to phone remote control. Thank you all for your help.
