Ok awaiting your response on the two test items from above post. The core is a 2.0x with a 2.0x xip 21040 only so you can only build 21040 from it sprint_test core. Boggsie try these as they have the wince.nls in the xip if these wont work I have no idea. Also, you can try using the included wince.nls in 21040 sys as a replacement for one I included to see if the old cores work.

Tried loading just the base 21040 on Verizon Vogue, added nothing and I can't get it to load past the subsplash screen. It sits there for about 5 minutes and reboots the phone, only to repeat the process. 21028 works fine.

Did you redownload the vogue core and replace it in / kitchens? The cores are updated with the sys as they contain the xips. Vin and myself have it working great.

There is no joy in mudville ... all scenarios have come up empty. The phone does not get past the scree with protocol, radio and rom version displayed in red.

hi drellisdee - i am trying to cook using PPCkitchen and a little newbie at it - haven't had the guts to load a ROM which I cooked until now, but want to load the latest and greatest 6.5 on my phone... I have the SYS dump from 21098 and I wanted to seperate it out like you have in your ppckitchen files... All the regular folders in the 21098_Common and all lang files in the 21098_096 rar file (i have a vogue from sprint).. i used the options.xml from 21040, and it shows as invalid when I load in ppckitchen(obviously)...

my question is how can I modify it to work ?

secondly, i use vista and its causing problems when i build as it says i dont have permissions to create welcomehead.png in a temp folder... have you seen this problem before and is there a solution for it ???

I am learning to cook ROM's and really appreciate your help and hopefully i can load my own ROM soon enough..

Its possible but not a topic for here as it would require pages. The option.xml is built from the .dsm to option out in build os and they change from time to time and depending on the cooks needs. Also, your attributes are not set correctly as to the permission error and it has nothing to do with xp/vista. Catch me in chat one night when I have time and I'll try to help you like I did Tplane. I'm already have a working herman one and am finishing an apache one using qvga.

Has anyone had issue with GPS not working with 21040 on the Titan? It works fine for me with 21018... I keep flipping back and forth between 21018 and 21040 trying to figure it out and I can't. I have even taken the selections file used for 21018 that had working GPS and chnaged the line below

to ensure that I had all the exact oems used in 21018 and GPS still didn't work. I thought 21040 was ridiculously fast and would like to go to that build.

As of 3/15/09 the vzw agps pde server can't be accessed its not the sys. Use a certain Canadian CDMA carrier in reg and qpst.

Thanks, I will try this, but I am running 21018 now and locking GPS with google maps within 30 seconds after a hard reset. So I am puzzled as to whats going on... the only think I can think of is that the registry is set for GPS to be in standalone for 21018, something other than mode 2 or 4.

But I cant see how that is since I am loading the xml with UC/SDautorun that was in GC14's cab. Not even sure if it sets the mode anyway...

whats up dre...well both diamond and tp roms worked out great and amazing, I thank u for the help and my only issue is one but minor, When I got to video/pic tab on tf3d or tf3d2 and try to play a video i recorded on my cam, I hit play on the right soft key and it just shows a black screen...any reason why this is happening? I do have wmp of course and its happening on the tp rom only, not the diamond rom.

After I posted, I left work and I tried GPS again with 21018 on the way home and what do you know it didn't work LOL.

I did read on XDA a day or so after the 15th that the Verizon aGPS server dropped. I still don't know how I manged to get fixes after the 15th. Warm starts/HTC Quickgps maybe? Since I did get fixes, I figured it was just a temporary outage and never checked back to see what happened. When I went to 21040 and went back to 21018 and got a fix.... i don't know how the hell I did that.....

Either way I found the aGPS settings for my now new favorite Canadian CDMA carrier even though I will never live there :P and fired up QPST and modified the xml in GC14's cab with new IP and port and I am all set. Running 21040 and getting fixes.

21040 is a nice build, its fast and the direct push seems to work the best compared to all other 210XX roms I've cooked. It works like it should.

no im using 21028 for diamond.Any thought on the issue with why recorded videos arent playin from htc album? and it does play if i got to pics and videos and play from there.

it doesnt play on either manilas, thing is it plays if u open wmp and open the video from there or if u go to program and open pics&videos and then hit play, but if u open htc album, or from pics tab on manila it wont play, just a blank screen. And its the only issue im having on the tp rom,not sure why its happening man. It works perfect on the diamond. Unless only thing I can think of is the oem for the raphael camera isnt working correct...Do u have a different set of oem fro the camera, maybe the one supplied on ppck oems isnt working correct

Good news !

21028 and 21040 both boot for me just fine on my Sprint Touch Diamond.

Not exactly sure what I was doing wrong before, but no problems whatsoever when I went through the process again, today. I deleted all of the files and started over and it worked great.

So, when do you teach how to build our own base ? :)

Interesting development - I can't find a version of MS Voice Command that will announce incoming calls via bluetooth (jawbone) on a post-21000 rom base.

Try this album on cab(portrait)I had similar problem and this one worked for me.If it works,just make an OEM,remove initflash.txt,rgu and dsm files,option xml and then move all files from your album OEM to this folder and rename.Thats how I did to get ladscape album fully functional.
It worked for my 6900,not sure how it will go on TP...

Hey dre, thanks for all ur help bro, everything is great so far on both roms...no problem with data r anything, I got one last request from u...being that u cook on ppck and u own a herman aka tp,u happen to have a set of OEM for the sip kb that i can use? the ones from ppck seem to not work right and i installed a few by cooking and looks like some of them make the hard lb not work.
