ImgfsToNb 2.1 RC2
Initializing
Injecting XIP (Vogue_21032.bin).
Using default pagepool settings

compare your selections.txt with mine as this one is working for me.

SYS 21028 - no problem.

and find

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ControlPanel\TaskMgr]
"Redirect"=":MSTASKMGR"

and change to

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ControlPanel\TaskMgr]
"Redirect"=":MSTASKMGR"
"Hide"=dword:00000001

Hello,

Remove these reg keys from sys/sell rgu :

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ControlPanel\TaskMgr]
"Redirect"=":MSTASKMGR"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ControlPanel\TaskMgr]
"Group"=dword:1

Remove taskmgr.exe and taskmgr.lnk from sys/shell.

Thats all.

I couldn't get any of these to boot on my vogue. Followed directions exactly and it was a no go, always got stuck on second splash screen.

However, doign the same thing with 21018 worked just fine, so I'm happy.

Did you use the new vogue core from the 1st post? Sorry if you have done this already. Place the NEW vogue_core_drellisdee in /kitchens and the new vogue_wm6.1_drellisdee into projects/groups/devicebases overwriting the old ones? Known bad oems are anything flash related or user added .net 2.0 or 3.5 as its included in the sys. Also the ppck oem of remote desktop (cab is fine) has been known to cause no data issues. Also on herman/victor (possibily vogue) the BT oems have been known to cause a hang at splash. Possibily other oems could cause a hang on boot also as there is no guarantee that one that used to work on an older sys will work with newer ones.

If that fails check your selections.txt (the name of your project you saved in the /projects folder) the top lines should read:
SelectionsVersion=.90.04
[BaseGroup]=GroupFile=Groups\BuildBases\WM6.1_96DPI_QVGA_Drel lisdee_21028_0409.txt
[DeviceGroup]=GroupFile=Groups\DeviceBases\Vogue_WM6.1_Drellisd ee.txt
GroupFile=[UserSetup]
ROMDeviceType=Vogue
ROMRevType=GPS
ROMOSType=WM6.1
DeviceRUUType=Standard
DeviceCarrierType=Verizon
PagePoolSize=4
PagePoolType=<Default>

Then try to extract the vogue_core_drellisdee (not in kitchen directory) to see if its corrupted and make sure vogue_21027.bin & vogue_21028.bin are inside it.

Adding my two cents...

First, thanks for your hard work.

I cook a fairly clean ROM.

21018 works great and is mostly without any noticeable hiccups.
21028 appeared to work, but then wouldn't display any M2D page but the home page. Weird.
21032 hung on 2nd boot screen.

Had to get into the bootloader manually and then go back to 21018.

I'd like to try and get 21028 working.
What, specifically, is the difference between 21028 and 21018?

Thanks,
dj

Yeah I had tried with the stuff from this thread before I tried the older sys files.
If the .net stuff being added is causing problems and BT might, then it was one of those. Didn't know it was included in the file so I tried adding it on separately.
I may try again with 21028 but unless there's a huge difference between it and 21018 then I don't see a reason.

Hello,

Normally I will be using blackstone official 20764 build inwhich it given faster performance for my htc wizard. Few days back I ported 21018 build xip/sys build but I feat slower. Day before yesterday I ported 21028 build xip/sys and its unbelievable fast so 21028 is not the 21018.

21018 is also not a fake build.................... :D

Thanks and regards

using these with no selections made so a perfectly clean rom on my vogue...

21032 would freeze...known issue

21028 booted fine, could not install cabs, could not make or receive calls but text messages worked fine???? links to dialer and com manager would not work

21027 com manger does not work, may be a tad slower than 21018 but kinda hard to tell at this point.

Quick question guys, 21028 has IE6 in it correct? I've noticed that even on mobile view, browsing wap sites, the text are no longer wrapped like the older IE. I believe the old IE had even choices, page width, one column, desktop. Is there a way to fix this?

remove the entire browsingie folder in the kitchen base you are using, and it will automatically revert to the old IE. I do this for compatibility with LogMeIn.

No do not change the sys everything 20931 and up has IE6. The toggle is here in the registry

If you would like to switch back to IE5 (and lose flash) change HKLM/Security/Internet Explorer MSHTML from "1" to "0". Reverse to change it back.

Ok, so I flashed 21028 to my Apache and here's what I found...

HTC Home does not show up (Dont even think about manilla2d, wont fit)
In IE, the search icon takes you to file explorer
HTC Album wont open (Jade?)
Camera button doesnt work.

I do have service, but looks like i will have to try something else...

weird be because i have htc home working, i almost never could get m2d to fit for me anyway (on BL 2.05) the search thing is true, but the htc album from the kitchen doesnt work for some reason, what i found to work for it which might do it for your htc home is the non htc device patch for m2d thats on the m2d page it makes all "non loading htc apps work" i ended up finding that out by accident but it works well and the camera button (button 3) just has to be set in the buttons tab in settings
hope that helps

The biggest problem i'm having with your releases (love them btw, so thank you!) is the scrolling on some apps. Over all, the scrolling is AMAZING butt..

Nice find! Still doesn't negate the fact that removing the browsingie folder will work as well. I've been doing this since 931, and it has become standard-issue advice on the #ppckitchen IRC channel.

Wonderful to know that I could have the option to turn it off/on with a registry edit, though!

I played with some of these new bases, and my personal opinion is that 21028 was the most stable option... however I have to argue about its speed.
It may be something I did to it, but I'm finding it not quite as snappy as other rom bases that I've used, such as 21014 (and I'm testing with the same apps cooked in both times).

I may go back to 21014, my only problem with that one is that it got strange if I ever let the battery die (would run very slowly until hard reset). Once again, may have been something I did to it- if I could fix that problem, I'd say 21014 FTW.

This is true of ALL bases that use Microsoft's built-in kinetic scrolling method (20931 and onward). Basically, you're not using touchflo anymore, its built into the OS- while it works better than HTC's kinetic touchflo finger motions, it doesn't work in some screens, such as the old IE or inside a message.
You can install or cook in HTC's Touchflo, but I personally prefer the control that the older FtouchFlo gives the user.

I have been noticing the same thing, and so the question is can I shutoff the MS scrolling if I cook in Touchflo? Second who knows what is the current rev of HTC's Touchflo and where can I obtain it? I am using the PPCKITCHEN.

Sounds like this the case if you want to use the MS method. I have not had good luck with this, thus why I want to find out if we can disable the MS method and then cook Touchflo back in. I found Touchflo much more responsive and predictable.

You don't need to "disable" the MS method. It only kicks in when TouchFlo or whatever else could be installed on top doesn't do anything (like pressing for a moment and then slowly scrolling. TouchFlo wouldn't respond to that, but MS' will).

In my opinion, MS's is MUCH more predictable than HTC's. In fact, I really REALLY dislike HTC's TouchFlo, since its definition of kinetic scrolling is "scroll all the way to the bottom on the slightest finger flick". If you try to stop it mid-scroll, you accidentally select something. MS' doesn't do that.

Touchflo and MS scrolling can be used together with exceptions .exe in touchflo 3 registry but cant at the moment remember the exact key as I'm posting on my mobile.

This is a repost from xda with some debugging keys involving gestures present in the 20954 build. Test at your own risk as they may be no longer valid for other builds.
