Iolite/Manila 2d OEMs
5 Attachment(s)
Iolite and/or Manila 2d Update 22 OEMs.
Ok here we go, successfull build with these OEMs. Footprints, Album, YouTube, and Audio Manager are all working just much as I can tell. Backlight Fixed -- thankx to vin255764 I added the big weather icon update to m2d. Files in 1st post should be all you need, just include the kitchens Youtube. Will be missing the "settings" button but it works. Added Volume Control OEM to 2nd post. The files in the 2nd post are optional but what I used to build, including my selections file. |

I've tried a few different combos with PPCKitchen, and every time, I get an error: 'Error building default.hv and user.hv!
here's the error from the build log: Failed to parse HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\3gpfile\Shell\Open\Command!!! Ok thanks, just got online and and testing/fixing now. The UUID belongs to the youtube. Did you try a build without the Youtube OEM selected? |
Re: Iolite OEMs
Youtube OEM fixed and updated in OP.
Have built and flashed with no apparent issues as of yet. |

oh ok thanks.

Re: Iolite OEMs
I got one built with only footprints last night and it would give me the unsigned/can't be located error when I try to launch footprints.
|
Re: Iolite OEMs
I was also wondering about the htc audio manager, when I pick m2d in the kitchen, it picks the old version, is there a problem having the old one and your new one selected? Also wondering about the HTC utils, what all is included in that package?
|
Re: Iolite OEMs

All the HTC Utils are some background dlls, not sure of the details. I know most of it is already in there, so i assume it's just newer versions and don't see any differences. The Footprints worked on my first build I though, but I am getting the same error now, even if I re-install the CAB. Brought a new build to work with me, build went fine with all OEM's except youtube, will test more during the night. |
Re: Iolite OEMs
Ok... still seems to revolve around the youtube. If I install the youtube OEM using nuepackage... then the footprints statrs working fine. Trying to track down what file specifically.
** Found and fixed, OP updated for the Footprint OEM. |
Re: Iolite OEMs
I'll try a new build tonight and get back to you.
|
Re: Iolite OEMs
Let me know about the YouTube if you try it. I can build it, run it & load a video, but then it freezes. An error hidden in the background saying "can't play video"
Think its more a conflict between packages not the OEM itself, cause I can install the kitchen version and still have same results. So i'm missing a package, or something like tcmp is messing it up. Havn't actually used the youtube player for quite some time so I'm not too sure when/if I caused a problem..... |
Re: Iolite OEMs
Looks like almost everything works. Footprints loads fine and no problems with audio manager and phone canvas. HTC utils makes my backlight control go wonky, I can't adjust the settings, they are set to minimum but the light is bright. Youtube removes the icon from the internet tab in M2D.
|
Re: Iolite OEMs
just rebuilt from scrtch. all working and also have new m2d with footprint tab. 5am tho... will package it all tomorrow sometime.
not sure about the backlight... will check |
Re: Iolite OEMs
Sweet, I'll be down to test tomorrow night. I'm at work all night and I have the time right now.

Re: Iolite OEMs
OK, footprints & m2d working fine it seems so far.
Album works except video. YouTube loads but can't play. BOTH can be fixed by installing ravest youtube fix CAB, but i can't see "what" it's fixing... I copied registry info, and all the files into the existing OEM, and still no luck whenm I install it using nuepackage. I'll post what I have for testing. The "HTC Utils" are inside M2D. Didnt bother with the phone canvas, doesnt have the in-call curtain anyway. Using these OEMs should get a proper build, then install the ravest CAB and everything should be "ok" Checked the backlight issue, I do have the same issue but havnt bothered to track it down yet. |
Re: Iolite OEMs w/ M2D Update22
Oh, and I made one for the NaviPanel too... seems ok, just a glorified launcher it seems.
Looks like it can link to a few different nav apps... none of which I have. Includes the following DLLs: CoPilot NaviTel PaPaGo TomTom |
Re: Iolite OEMs w/ M2D Update22
I am about ready to give up... I cannot for the life of me get this damn youtube working without installing the CAB. Duplicated all registry setting, copied all files, and nothing makes a difference.
Found references to it being related to a DShow update, that update seems to be what the ravest cab was to begin with. Another post somewhere mentioned it's related to the camera version, found an updated camera, made no difference. personally dont even use the youtube player so unless anyone requests it, it's going on the backburner. Heading home shortly, will re-build with all the current OEMs to make sure everything else is stable, then will polish them up and re-post. |
Re: Iolite OEMs w/ M2D Update22
Alright,I'll wait for the repost and give it a shot. I can use a different youtube without problem. Thanks for all of your help.

Re: Iolite/Manila 2d OEMs
Ok, after some testing, I can say that everything seems to works fine, but I don't like the beyond invisible weather and I can't add my custom weather cities file the n2a patched manilla doesn't work. Also is there an htc navigation program for the navipanel? From looking at the footprints video from htc I gather there is, or is it an add-on (like gamin or something)?

Re: Iolite/Manila 2d OEMs
I know what the problem is I had it when the Iolite rom first came out and I extracted the files myself when you take the files and build a cab out of them then convert into an OEM there are some reg keys that are made with a generic # put in its place so you have to go through the RGU in question and fix them it will be something like this xxxxxx an you need to change it to like this xx. Something to that effect. let me know if I can help.
|
Re: Iolite/Manila 2d OEMs
Well, I see nothing in the RGU that seems to fit that....
here's the RGU: Code:
REGEDIT4I can redo the OEM without the weather icons changed if ya want though. |

Looks like it supports different navi software depending on carrier I assume, I got the Iloite files packaged with a version of TomTom but it wouldnt install and I think there are legality issues so I didnt post it. I assume if you have the matching navi software that the carrier should supply it will work, see the list of DLL's it includes in post 20. |
Re: Iolite/Manila 2d OEMs
hi there i have tried intergrating this iolite version and audio manager into a rom, but when ever i try to use audio manager it tells me that it has a required file missing or that its certifcate is not signed. does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? or probably what im doing wrong?

Re: Iolite/Manila 2d OEMs
For custom cities in M2D you need the file from here and just drop it into your windows folder with the weather cities file (I made my own that just covers Canada) and it has worked for me before. I'm guessing that for this build of M2D the file needs to be changed but that is far ahead of my capabilities. It's only a concern for me because I live almost 3 hours away from the nearest city and the weather is very different from there.

Re: Iolite/Manila 2d OEMs
ok i found some cabs for the new iolite version that all work good,, but i have come across another problem i have to press the start menu to get manilla to start or it justs sits there with the message "tap here to launch touchflo" and tapping here not work, the other problem is on the messaging tab when i press the button for to create new text message nothing happens
edit ok i got manilla to start by changing this value in the rgu file [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Keybd\ChangeHomeByP ostMessage] "HTCManila2D"=dword:00002B12 to this [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Keybd\ChangeHomeByP ostMessage] "HTCManila2D"=dword:00002b12 i dont really know if i really makes a difference a capital B to a samll b but i came to this conclusion after checking the rgu in version 20 of manilla 2d |

Try including the album, it may have some files the other ones need, there was a decent ammount of overlap between the cabs that I might have missed one or two files. Does instaling the CAB for audio mananger make any difference? |
