Any luck with the ppckitchen yet? That's what I use and havnt had the issues you are having. If no luck, gimme a link to the kitchen/base you are using and I'll see what i can do if I ever have the time.

hey there, good to see it going not too bad. I on the other hand blew a hard drive and lost all my kitchen stuff... rebuilding as speak, will see if i have same issues once i get it all up again.

Re: Iolite/Manila 2d OEMs

bugger man that sucks... =\ , using the ppc kitchen is actually easier than editing a stock rom , ok so i just cooked iolite manilla 2d, audio manager , htc portrait album and the opal phone canvas i did include the footprints cab as well to be nosy but seeing as i have no use for it i recooked without once i had a play ( I dont have a data plan to use gps hence why i not using the you tube tab as well ) i have tried comparing the manilla exes iolite version and version 19 as i know that works but cannot see anything that would cause it to happen ... tried different variations of cabs also but no luck....

good luck rebuilding

Anyone else notice that this phone canvas breaks the battery icon on the title bar. It will always show fully charged. Icon stays the same even when plugged in and charging.

Any ideas how to fix.

So what is the culprit? Can the fix be applied to the OEM that EtrnlWolf made for phone canvas?

Thats the thing. The fix can be applyed only after flasing...or by changing mxip of your carrier.Canvas is perfect.its just carriers settings killing that icon. All you need is to make sure that you have base id = phcanoverbmp.dll.Now I understand why most of the chiefs cooking generic ROMs :)

EtrnlWolf 03-05-2009 07:52 PM

Re: Iolite/Manila 2d OEMs

So does the carrier settings of PPCK itself need to be updated then? Or are they fine otherwise, just not for the canvas?

I havnt had issues with my icon so I'm not much help.

Finally got re-built and just popped out a xxx18 build... volume buttons are busted, i think from volume_control... still testing more.

What kitchen/base did you test on? I just built it into 21018 and getting nothing. I don't however have a working opal large title bar anymore and I assume it's co-dependant. What I do get however, is now my volume slider works like an up/down scroller instead...

ali3nfr3ak 03-06-2009 01:41 AM

Re: Iolite/Manila 2d OEMs

21018 had to do a reset then it was good as

did it remap your volume slider so it works as an up/down key?

ie -- on the footprints tabs, I can now cycle through them using the volume keys....

might be intentional not sure, but I can't get the status screen working yet, so i'm not sure if it's the volume OEm or the system status screen thats my issue.

What/where did you get the large titlebar/status screen?

ali3nfr3ak 03-06-2009 05:13 AM

Re: Iolite/Manila 2d OEMs

not using a large title bar and i dont use footprints ill recook it back into my rom and let u know . the only status screen was the volume one that came with the oem

edit i also dont have an issue with the phone canvas breaking the battery icon

ali3nfr3ak 03-06-2009 04:53 PM

Re: Iolite/Manila 2d OEMs

wel i put htcvolume back into rom and it works perfectly no need to reset either, side buttons are not remapped in fooprints but i am using footprints from the iolite package i dumped so maybe that could be the difference

Footprints was just an example, the buttons go up/down even on the m2d home screen, moving the highlight from clock to missed calls etc..

havnt had time to re-cook and test yet but i've had the same issue with the volume control before, so i'm thinking it's not iolite related, but some conflict with my selections.

Do you have any of the "large title bars" added?

ali3nfr3ak 03-06-2009 07:04 PM

Re: Iolite/Manila 2d OEMs
