Still not working for me...

Wrong idea.

Copy the contents of Projects\Bases (all the folders) to your Projects\Bases (still in their folders). Then start buildos.

Anyone else notice the contrast option in the settings? If so does it work for you? I haven't seen that in quite some time.

ok i downloaded the projects text and ppc-additions.rar file and i finally got it running! after i did i found this thread! lol i been trying to get build os fixed all day! so far after flashing my touch its running kinda slow i think its because i changed the page pool to static 24 and i think im going to have to redo it back to default....it looks like 20931 has IE6 built into it....and the font is huge!

savior02 11-25-2008 10:32 PM

Re: WM6.1 build 20931 kitchen

I have the same problem too... the phone become so slow once I set the pagepool size to static 24... switching back to default fix the problem.

Re: WM6.1 build 20931 kitchen

Something weird happened tjhe first time I flashed. Once it booted and calibrated it took me through the email setup and everything else that has been byp***** since 6.1. Also under the settings screen I had the option to adjust the contrast (which I believe is for a black and white screen?). I thought it was wierd so I pulled the battery and hard reset and then all that stuff was gone and setup was typical for these newer roms. Anyone else see anything like this.... It only happened once.... Now everything works great... Thanks for the new kitchen....

Edit: apparently I cannot say byp a s s

Re: WM6.1 build 20931 kitchen

I don't know if it me, but the menus/keyboard list all seem to be bigger. More finger friendly. But so far a good solid build! I'll try to break it throughout the day and see what I can find.

I believe you're missing a file for the build... the PPCkitchen_addition.rar file... without that I got the same as what you got, but after downloading it, no more email and password setup and no more contrast settings...

I could be wrong, but that's what happened to mine...

A new version of ppck_addition has been pushed...some vogue and titan registry entries were missing (key setting stuff).

Default is 12mb. Static is what you set it at. I used to use 32 or 24 but I am using 12mb with this build it just seems to work better. Hope this helps...

Re: WM6.1 build 20931 kitchen

Anyone having the new text message count issue..? It seem that this build have the same issue as before... Seem like builds that high lights the new txt msg have this issue...

brol1k 11-27-2008 04:15 PM

Re: WM6.1 build 20931 kitchen

yup the count is the only thing messed, you have to highlight them manually...but the keyboard issue doesnt happen atleast. the text message was perfect in the previous kitchen...hmmm dont know what happened there, but all in all, this kitchen is definitely better and faster

I agree...
I suggest you recheck your selections. Sometimes less is more.
Some programs are better left out of the ROM to be added later...
I am amazed at how stable this build is.

If you guys can post the problem children and what their issues are, we can get them addressed for everyone.

Re: WM6.1 build 20931 kitchen

I flashed this weekend two times. The first time I changed the pagepool to 16 and my phone turned into a slug.

The second time I set it as default, according to everything I read there is something wrong with the pagepool static settings. So everything works fine as default (which is 12).

Some issues I've ran into are my battery gauge is going up and down. While I'm using the phone the gauge will read a lower percentage but if I let it sit and come back to it the gauge will be at a higher percentage.

GPS isn't working on sprint. I tried soft reboots and no go. Did I miss something?

I would like to see the Official Sprint MMS for PPCs implemented into the kitchen. Also there is an update for GPS today 0.9.9.3

Finally, I included the diamond keyboard package and when I try to use any of them nothing comes up.

Thanks for the dedication to this. Now that my favorite cook (OMJ) has departed this is the most direct way to have an updated ROM.

rolandroland 12-01-2008 05:59 PM

diamond keyboard

New build seems great but I have a keyboard problem, anyone else having problems? Specifically the one in the kitchen (HTC Diamond QWERTY) will not work , when you try and change keyboard it will not go to any of the 3 diamond ones, only the old school default one will work. When I use another OEM the Z key changes to the ABC/123 key after the first time you switch to numbers/symbols. I feel like this is an old problem I got around a few builds ago by using someone else's OEM and now that no longer seems to work.

Thanks.

Re: WM6.1 build 20931 kitchen

i think that diamond qwerty package has been messed up for a long time now. Best just to install that cab after you flash.

Try this one, works for me.

OEM_Diamond_Keyboard_gullum......................Diamond Skinned Keyboards (keyboard, keypad, qwerty) w/english layout

Although I'm an old keyboard user myself, I use the other ones when showing my phone to potential customers with no problems...

I'm curious about this as well. If I select 3.5 exceptions will I be able to use the newest version of advanced config? Whenever I install it, it says I need .netcf 3.5 and it's not worth installing 3.5 as a cab after when that's all that needs it.
