My music player stars playing after first answered or missed call too. I think it can be fixed in: settings/personal/sounds&notifications/notifications/event:reminders/uncheck playsound. I have found a better solution for this. Its updated M2D audiomanager.

So... The Viigo Public Beta doesn't work with this build... I have no idea what the problem is, and Viigo tech support already knows about the issue and is unable to replicate it:

From Tech Support:
"I did spend some time today trying to simulate your problem. I was not able to reproduce the problem on my end. Viigo runs fine on WM 6.1 professional, CE OS 5.2 20757 and Internet Explorer 6."

So there ya go... here's the error I get:

please forgive me if this has been covered, but my searching has yielded no results....

has anyone had a problem with this build and alarms not going off? I have built a few roms with this build and each time it appears eventually my alarms stop going off....

I use Ageye's G-Alarm for alarms, and haven't noticed a problem. Try it: http://www.ageye.de/

Re: WM6.1 build 20931 kitchen

I flashed last night and my data connection won't work. Pops up the balloon "can't connect for unknown reason" when I try to use ie or opera or e-mail.
The strange thing is that if won't even try to dial, two arrows don't show up on top of signal bars and it pops the message right away after ie is launched.

If anybody know the solution let me know. Really want to try this build but can't without data.

UPDATE: tried cooking build 20924, same thing. Then tried 20748 and data work just fine. Not sure if this is the phone or kitchen or OEM problem. I've used same selections on all of them.

Re: WM6.1 build 20931 kitchen

This is probably the most newbie sounding question ever but do i have to run some kind of unlocker before using the kitchen to update my touch or is it built into the kitchen?

I have cooked up two roms and both fail to load. gets to the loading screen where it says it will take about 10 minutes and nothing loads.

yes before you flash any custom made ROM you need to run this:http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=20370

You should also have your Radio updated as well...

There's something wrong with the compatability of the .NET version included in this ROM, and Viigo's codebase. The Tech Support I talked to went through the trouble of flashing a custom ROM with 6-on-6 and .NET 3.5 on it, and had no problems...

The only think I can think is different versions of .NET. Anybody??

First, it's not a rom, it's a kitchen. 2nd, what ROM did he flash? What did you flash? Only .Net 2.2 is built in by default.

1. Yes, I know the difference, however it is the ROMs on my device, not a kitchen, and that it was I was referring to. The ROMs that I have created. The .Net included in the ROMs made by this kitchen will all not work, however I haven't tried the .Net 2 option.

2. I am not sure, creating the chance that I was lied to and brushed off. It would be in the best interest, though, for them to test the latest Windows Mobile, so I believe I was told the truth. This is the email I got:

"Sorry it took a while to get back to you. I did spend some time today trying to simulate your problem. I was not able to reproduce the problem on my end. Viigo runs fine on WM 6.1 professional, CE OS 5.2 20757 and Internet Explorer 6. I tried to look in to installing the cooked version you are using, but it seems very time consuming. I will not be able to do this at the moment due to the other deadlines I have to meet at work. I will still try to reproduce the problem if things ever slow down here at Viigo Inc. Hopefully when Microsoft releases the official version you can get Viigo to work again on your device. "

I don't know if I'd say "time consuming" :)

The bottom line is, other people are reporting the problem as well on other cooked ROMs, and it is believed to be a problem with the .NET version. I have used this kitchen for over a year now, and have had no problems until the last two or three builds released

Have you tried installing .net35 after booting (from .cab)? It shouldn't change anything, but you never know.

Re: WM6.1 build 20931 kitchen

Well, I can confirm that it's a problem with .Net. I have tried selecting 2.0 and upgrading with the CAB and it does not work. However, .Net 2.0 does. Guess we'll have to wait to figure out why certain apps have .NET 3.5 + This Kitchen's ROMs

No, but there can always be a difference between a .cab and it's OEM counterpart.

.Net 2.0 works with all applications I use. selecting nothing, thereby using 3.5, does not. Building a ROM with 2.0 and installing the 3.5 CAB makes an installation fail, support code 3.

I'll attach my project, but I'm fine using 2.0 for now. It seems for some reason my 3.5 apps work anyway... some odd mix between 2.0 and 3.5 then? I dunno...

Re: WM6.1 build 20931 kitchen

Hmmmm... here is a wierd one...

Built a couple different roms from the kitchen for alltel... used 20931 had an issue,, then retrograded back to some earlier versions and tried and had same problem...

The problem is that when the phone tries to connect to the internet, it immediately comes up and says cannot connect for unknown reason.. please check your settings...

so to try and rectify,, i reflashed with alltels newest rom from htc site,,, did 228 2 and 228 3...
logged the phone onto the internet,,, waited 5 minutes,, logged off... phone came up and said it will restart in 15 seconds.. so I was sure that epst had fully updated...

after reboot,, I tested net and pix.. both worked fine...

recooked rom with kitchen.. using 20931,,, flashed... checked epst.. absolutely no settings had been changed after the new cooked rom was installed... tried the internet.. unable to connect for unknown reason...

I double checked all winmo connection settings,, they were correct.. double checked all epst settings and they were all correct.. as I had written them all down before I flashed...

i even tried adding dcds alltel carrier cab,, and no go.. it seems like winmo doesnt know that there is a modem there or something... so I ended up flashing back to stock again for now...

If anyone else has had this issue please let me know.. pm me or something.. thanks a bunch...
:disgust:

by the way,, just to add.. I have used 20931 to cook multiple roms for cricket for this phone and never had this problem.. so im wondering if it has something to do just with the alltel carrier settings?

very simple....its activesync problem.Try to disconnect cable off the phone, and it will work. All Builds are PERFECT.Some OEMS not.And I noticed that its better not to check the "USB mass storage driver "from the kitchen, its in the build already.

If this was in reply to the data/wap problem, i appreciate the reply, but that is not the problem...

I even went as far as to build and flash to 20931, then removed the battery, then hard reset, then booted and tried data again,, and of course without the cable plugged in,,, its a no go...

A N00b like me is still confused about the best way to resolve the Viigo problem. Is the consensus that build 20931 will work with Viigo if .NetCF 2.0 is selected in the kitchen when building a ROM? I installed 2.0 using a CAB after the flash and that doesn't work - does building it into the ROM upfront overwrite .NetCF 3.5 differently than installing it from a CAB? Or is the resolution to go to an earlier build that is know to work (and if so, what build is recommended).

Another question ... I used a ROM built and posted on this site by GaMedic. He posted the selections file along with the ROM. If I basically like that ROM selection but need to make a few changes (such as adding .NetCF 2.0!), is it okay to drop that selections .txt file in the Projects folder, modify and build a new ROM from that, or is it safest to start from scratch and build a selections file from the beginning? As far as I can tell, my PPCKitchen is up-to-date for everything I need.

Build a ROM with .Net 2.0 and relax. Or you could try redownloading, there's a new version that may or may not have corrected the problem. I'll stick with what I have, as it seems to be working

Including NetCF 2.0 and telling BuildOS to skip 13 NetCF3.5 files when prompted indicating duplicate files did work for me. So Viigo does work with build 20931. Here is a log snippit showing the files skipped.

Is there any way to update the manila theme (vogue) that has the newest version of google maps with latitude? If you install the cab on this kitchen, it only works once then fails.
