Thanks for the info on that much easier to get my mms to work already had Internet working also for others in Sacramento to San Fransisco as far as i know to get the net to work you also need these additional settings

These are the additional setting I needed (I use metro in the bay area)

under M.IP settings of the EPST:
MIP_MODE= "Mobile IP Preferred"

under the modem settings -> advanced menu (on User/PW screen)
uncheck "Use slip"
check "Use software compression"
uncheck "Use IP header compression"

pulled from .xda developers

I set up the proxy and the connection settings but it keeps giving me error messages to check Internet settings. I also looked for the iota file and cannot locate it. Please help!!! Thanks

Does anybody know how to make internet/mms working on android phones? I have HTC Hero (Sprint) and need to get web working, so I suppose the way it should be done for android phones is different.
Thanks!

Depends on your carrier. Verizon and Cellcom (small carrier I am with) use 000000. Sprint uses a piece of software (GetSPL) that generates a random 6 digit MSL code based on your phone's ESN. That is why sprint users need GetSPL. I am not sure of other carriers. We should start a thread that looks like the following....
MSL Unlock Code
Verizon = 000000
Cellcom = 000000
Sprint = (Use GetSPL)
Alltel = ??????
AT&T = ??????
Feel free to fill in the blanks if you are with these (or other carriers)

Hope this helps
