over at xda, ravest has released a cab fix for youtube!!!!!

obviously you need the youtube qvga official cab from the first post.

Note that this will even work with a 19xxx rom, like the new Bell 6.1 19208.
People using a 20xxx rom had already got the youtube player working.

Works on my Sprint Touch. Videos play back silky smooth. I am using FayFay's Manilla 1.0 rom.

I have youtube working great, I am using 19208. Did you make sure you have all of the latest Dshow from diamond?

i use my own custom rom for alltel, so i have all of these in my rom for a few months now, So youtube worked for me right away.

Good point Conflipper. I do have Dshow installed so that might be the extra part needed for Quiqnezz

Just posted that I verified the fix working on my HTC Touch over on xda, however I am experiencing a bit choppy playback.. Will give this "dShow" a shot to see if it improves playback.

**EDIT- Could not get the Dshow cab from conflipper's post to install on my HTC Touch on internal memory or storage card. (Note - I am running JD's hybrid rom, maybe that might have something to do with it)**

Setting Fast Download in Youtube Player will give you lower quality video but it'll be smooth.

No dice, installed the fix cab AND the dshow cab and still won't work. This sucks! Seems like I need a custom Rom to run this. Knew I was gonna have to take the plunge sooner or later. Guess this weekend is will be the time of rekoning. Haha

What rom version are you running? eg WM6.1 19208
